Native to Asia, Cast Iron Plant has the botanical name Aspidistra elatior that part of the Asparagaceae family. This perennial houseplant can grow around 2 feet long and 4 inches wide. They will bloom the flower during spring and summer and have white or purple flowers.

About caring for this houseplant, you can put them in a shady area and avoid direct sunlight. It can burn and bleach the leaves. Cast Iron Plants prefer organic-rich soil with a slightly acidic to neutral soil pH. Or plant them in the soil as long as have good drainage.
