7 Gorgeous Pothos Varieties to Add to Your Collection |
Homiful.com -- Pothos plants are one of the most popular indoor ornamental plants. Pothos itself has many variations, which of course have their own uniqueness. The following "7 Gorgeous Pothos Varieties to Add to Your Collection" are recommendations that are not to be missed. Do you already have one?
MANJULA POTHOS (Epipremnum aureum)
@wit.tanduran |
This type of pothos feels quite familiar, similar to the marble queen pothos. However, they are actually slightly different. Manjula Pothos leaves appear to be wider and rounder than Marble Queen leaves. Manjula leaves come in a wide range of colors, including cream, white green, silver, and yellowish green.
NEON POTHOS (Epipremnum aureum ‘Neon’)
@wildisland.collective |
You can't help but notice the gorgeous chartreuse foliage! Newer Neon pothos leaves are brighter in color and will deepen slightly as they grow. Thanks to this striking color, this variety of pothos is nicknamed neon. Place this plant in brighter areas for a more vibrant hue, as darker areas will tend to wash away the color.
MARBLE QUEEN POTHOS (Epipremnum aureum ‘Marble Queen’)
@stamenandstem |
Marble queen photos are one of the most popular types. This gorgeous Pothos features moss-green leaves and stems that are striped with white. Growth will be slower, as it is with any highly variegated plant. In general, offer any highly variegated plants more light and avoid overly dark settings; otherwise, growth will be poor.
GOLDEN POTHOS (Epipremnum aureum)
@plantshopbh |
This is the original Pothos with which many of us began our indoor gardening experience, as well as the most common and popular pothos. Golden Pothos has heart-shaped leaves that are striped with golden-yellow variegation and grows quickly. It is the most aggressive and simplest to cultivate kind, sometimes known as Devil's Ivy.
JESSENIA POTHOS (Epipremnum aureum ‘Jessenia’)
@plantsbymelissa |
This is a Costa Farms variety that resembles a highly variegated Golden Pothos. According to Costa Farms, Jessenia Pothos is a stable sport of Marble Queen. This is a slower growing Pothos, similar to "Marble Queen".
CEBU BLUE POTHOS (Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Cebu Blue’)
@houseplantclub |
Unlike the other Pothos mentioned above, Cebu Blue is a separate species (pinnatum), yet it still belongs to the same genus, Epipremnum. The leaves are thinner and a stunning silvery-green tint. They are quite robust growers, according to my observations.
PEARLS and JADE POTHOS
@fabplantsph |
Pearls and jade Pothos is a patented sport invented by 'Marble Queen'. This Pothos cultivar has smaller leaves and grows at a slower rate than many other Pothos kinds. This variety's variegation is more concentrated on the edges of the leaves, and it grows more slowly than less variegated Pothos kinds.
