Be it outdoors or indoors, you can place banana trees in a full sun spot. They love it to survive. Let them get direct sunlight a day for about six hours. And then, get the oil in organically rich, and deep soil with good drainage and a slightly acidic soil pH.
They also typically have poor tolerance for salt in the soil. Because the habitat is rainforests, this tree needs a lot of water and plenty of moisture in the air. Make sure to water regularly and make the soil stay moist but not soggy.

Can thrive in warm and humid conditions, but banana trees don't like extreme temperatures. Prefer to place this tree in consistent temperatures between 75 and 95 degrees F. If you place them in cold temperatures and dry conditions. It can make quickly die back.
Banana trees include heavy feeders. You can make balanced fertilizers regularly throughout the growing season.
Pruning

Before producing the fruits, Banana trees have one main stem. And they will replace the main stem in the next growing season (after growing for 6 to 8 months). If the fruits are removed, you can prune this tree, and precisely cut the main stem down about 2.5 feet. Next, remove the rest of the stem in a few weeks, leaving the replacement sucker intact.

Like other plants, the best propagation for banana trees is division. Let's divide the banana tree by separating the sucker from the rhizome (horizontal underground stem). Then, permit the surface of the rhizome to dry for a day or more. After it, get replanting the banana tree.
