| How to Landscape Around a Wishing Well |

Many people in modern culture, whether superstitious or simply down on their luck, throw pennies into wishing wells in the hope of being granted a wish in exchange. You could bring this old behavior to your home garden by decorating with an elegant wishing well and perhaps bringing some luck to your yard.
Hanging Plant

Insert a potted plant into the wishing well bucket; alternatively, buy a hanging basket and remove the hook. The well may also be used as a giant raised-bed garden planter.
Flower Bed

Make a flower bed to surround the wishing well, following the curve of the wishing well to make the pattern. For example, you can surround a circle wishing well with a circular flower bed; add a square flower bed around a square wishing well; or utilize different forms, such as a square flower bed around a round wishing well, to offer some geometric complexity to your design.
